Tank move

Hi all,
I am new to the reef scene. Had freshwater tanks for years. Just looking to move on up. I am thinking of buying a 75 gallon setup with a hang on back refuge. It is still setup and running with rock and some fish. Is this the best way to go? And how olng do i have before things go wrong to move it.
Thank.

Ps he only wants 600 for it.

"Only" 600 could be way too much. What equipment does he have? What type and brand of lights/skimmer/powerheads/etc. It has a HOB refuge, but is it drilled with a sump?

ya for a used tank that seems like a lot. People expect to get what they put into it out and that just won't happen. It depends on brands, so like Sethjamto said, post the brands and maybe we could help from there.

I think you can do better. A HOB (hang-on) anything is not optimum, if you're laying out money and going for a reef instead of fish-only. Fish are negligible in the cost, and the re-set-up will give you the problem of where to put them during a 5-day cycle The sand would have to be washed within an inch of its life. Rock would be good. See if you can hold out for just a bit more and a drilled tank with sump.

Quoted from post. "75 gallon saltwater aquarium, stand, hood, t5 light fixture with 3 actinic bulbs and 3 daylight bulbs and 10 moonlight LEDs the light fixture is sufficient enough for any type of corals, I also have an awesome HOB Refuge that works great with a protein skimmer built into the Refuge. Have pic of it, but don't know the particulars of makes and models of items yet. Will keep looking. It just seems the best one out there in my area right now, and after pricing things out is about half of new. Maybe i am wrong in thinking its a starting point. Please let me know
