Cause for concern?

Last night a really small nut (10-24) fell into my 90g reef tank. I looked for ever and cant find the damn thing anywhere. Should I be too worried that this will cause my tank to crash from the rust? I do run carbon if that helps... My biggest fear is that it fell into one of the folds of my giant brain, would it kill the brain coral? Like I said I looked for a long time with the lights on and off to see if I could find it. when I opened up my canopy I herd it fall in the water. I am almost 99% sure the nut is NOT stainless. Thoughts?

Jeremy

I accidentally left a razor blade and handle in my 180 for well over 6 months and when I finally found it in the sand it was really rusted out. I lost a stainless screw once never to be seen again but not sure if that went in the sump or behind it.
Gfo is essentially rust granted it's far more pure than say a screw that is slowly rusting out. Still I don't think I would kill myself over it

I am OCD and couldn't rest until I got it out. How about trying one of those telescoping magnets mechanics use to fish out nuts & bolts from engines?

It depends entirely on what metals are present in the nut. It could be anything from no problem at all to nuclear toxic.

I'd want it out.
