Replacing T5&MH Bulbs
So I'm replacing lights in a fixture that currently has:
(4) AquaticLife 420/460nm T5 HO Fluorescent Lamps (3) 150W Artic White 10K The tank is very white with this combo. I'm ready to replace all bulbs and any recommendations are appreciated. I'm going to be growing mushrooms, ricordea, zoas and softies maybe a LPS but no SPS |

When it comes to Metal Halide the higher kelvin rating the bluer the tank will be. Ie 10K is very white 20K is much bluer 14K is somewhere in the middle...
Hope that helps Mark |

I would call Reef Geek and upgrade to ATI bulbs I am not familiar with the Aquaticilife MH fixture are they the traditional DE bulbs or the HID type?

As far as the T5s go I would use all ATI Blue plus. Maybe throw in an actinic for dusk/dawn.

Get 3 x 150 Watt 14K Hamilton MH bulbs and their 460nm T5 Blue.
Their 460nm T5 bulbs are a good quality T5 bulb. http://www.hamiltontechnology.com/it...Blue-Bulb-1997 That will give you good color and good growth. |
