So Where's All the MACNA News?
Couldn't make it this year, unfortunately, but normally we get a lot of news the first day about any new major product releases. I've been surfing around some of the more responsive outlets (ReefBu1lders, AquaNerd, etc.), but the only major announcement so far is a new dosing pump? Really?
Is his year just a slow conference, product wise? Anyone in Denver have any other news that hasn't been reported? |

I've been checking the ************ website every hour since yesterday morning, and it seems this will probably go down as the weakest Macna event ever.
I was hoping for some big new from Digital Aquatics regarding their new wireless cloud based add on for the Reef Keeper Elite system. Maybe Sunday will be the new ground breaking equipment announcements for us reefers.....Let's hope so? For my own big news, CNC Reef has completed the Oshun unibody prototype for my vega spare parts that I was left with after upgrading to the Hydra 52. Within two weeks or less, I will have a new and improved heat sink for the rebirth of my AI Vega components, thanks to Chris at CNC Reef. Just to let you know, Chris is the real deal and his professionalism and quality of work is superb. Happy reefing, Randy |

MACNA is probably up in smoke this year. we might have to let the fog clear before we get some news.

Did none of the companies redo any of their Big Flagship Lights?
You always see a Bunch of those Upgraded at MACNA. Kessil Ecotech AI GHL Maxspect Were all the New Lights Little Nano Lights? Is this the Worst MACNA Ever? (In Terms of New Products Anyways)? |

Its kinda of always the same, people there are having lots of fun and just do not have enough time to post. On the equipment side nothing earth shattering as of yet I do like the new AI puck nano led should go nicely on my 12'' cube hopefully it is not to pricey.

Wireless to so you Don't Need a Controller or Director. 45 Watts / 7 Colors It may or may not come with the Gooseneck too? Kessil is going to have problems with this light. The Kessil better not be 300 like I have heard. Can somebody ask David at the Kessil Booth How much the A160 will be? I love the Kessil but these are the Problems with it Vs. the AI Gooseneck is Definetly separate (Another 35.00) Controller is Separate (Another 100.00) Less Power than the AI Light. Most Likely more Expensive too (Have to wait to verify this). |

Maxspect had one of their new "rip tide" gyre pumps on display. I think these are going to be the next big thing when it comes to wave making. They are completely adjustable and going to retail cheaper then the ecotechs. Additionally they have a much cleaner look then a bulky powered imo. I think the guy said the are shooting for end of the year and have various sizes in the works.

Thanks so much for the update on the new Digital Aquatics controller, which you just made me a very happy camper. It's going to be so nice to access the controller over the cloud and update the DA modules without having to upgrade them individually. I also hear the graphics engine for monitoring the different probe's is vastly improved as well. Thanks again for the great news, Randy |

I dont think the rotor will catch any more gunk than a prop, and we can't judge quality yet, but Maxspect isn't really known for junky products. |
