Cleaning a visine bottle for calibration fluid
For Black Friday I Bought a Milwaukee MA887 Digital Refractometer. The instructions say to use distilled water for calibration. So today went and bought a gallon of Krogers brand steam processed distilled water. Its going to be awkward using such a big bulky container and don't want to risk contamination. Can I rinse out a empty visine bottle and use it for storing the calibration fluid? How many times should I rinse it out?

That should be fine.
Half a dozen rinses should be adequate.

I use a small water bottle. It's also important to rinse and dry the glass between tests. Rinsing the pipette with ro or distilled water with a few squirts is also useful.
