Hanna Nitrite checker
For the Hanna nitrite checker does one need to multiply the digital reading by 3.29 to get the actual nitrite concentration? It appears this kit measures No2-_N
Thanks Joe |

Yes, that's correct, if you're using the HI764.

Vs. Red Sea kit
Thanks. You think they would have just adjusted the scale to skip that step. I was just asking because my nitrites on the hanna checker was about 0.15 ppm (cycling new tank) while the red sea kit read about 0.05 ppm. I assume I don't have to multiple with the red sea test kit?

Yes, that's correct. Most hobbyist test kits read nitrite total, as opposed to N-NO2.
