LED question

If you have your blues brighter than your whites will this cause any damage to the corals?

Mine are brighter than the whites through the whole ramp up and down of my lighting cycle and all of my corals look happy.

same here. When I was running my DIY LED, my Blues were at 80% and the whites were at 30% to 40% at high noon and corals were really happy.

My whites are higher than my blues. You need to look at the setting, number and the power of the diodes to be sure. My whites are set at 92% and my blues at 100%. There are 16 white, 20 watt diodes for 294 watts at my setting. While the blues are made up of 12, 15 watt royal and 8, 6 watt deep for a total of 228 watts at my settings. The percent settings only tell part of the picture. For most fixtures 100% is not equal in power across the channels.

Many of the local stores now run blue only to enhance the fluorescence of some corals.
If I want something I have to get them to turn on the whites.

I think blue only is bad for the corals. Most live in a broad spectrum environment, even if it is blue shifted due to water depth.
