Matt's 225g 72x30x24 Custom Build

I'm starting this build thread a little late but I have had multiple requests for it. I will catch up over the next week or so on everything that I have completed so far. The tank is custom made by Exotic Aquariums in Miami and the dimensions are 72x30x24. They did an amazing job. This will be primarily and SPS reef tank. Can't wait to hear everybody's feedback and thoughts. The stand was made by a local guy here in S. Florida and is powder coated structural aluminum. He did an awesome job on it. Here are a few up to date pics of were I am through the process. I will circle back from the beginning to go over everything with you. Can't wait to hear everybody's feedback and thoughts. Hope you enjoy.

A little more info on the tank itself. 72x30x24 Starphire glass on 3 sides. It has an external overflow and the back of the glass is actually cut out and a piece of acrylic with teeth cut out is glued on the inside giving it an almost invisible overflow. I went with a bean animal overflow. I have a smaller version on a frag tank and the thing is unbelievably quiet. The back of the tank has black vinyl covering it. The bottom inside of the tank has black starboard cut to fit inside the bracing.

Very nice, that is the size tank I am looking at upgrading to in either that configuration or a peninsula.

Sorry took a new job and have been crazy busy. Skipping way ahead the tank has been up and running since Aug. 5th.

The amount of SPS frags is astonishing. I can't wait to see this grown in. Thanks for sharing.

Great looking tank. I especially like what you did underneath the tank. What lighting are you using?

mattr777, You actually answered my question regarding your lights in your first build thread. Wow, your tank has come along nicely.
