ID on something growing that I've not seen before from any of your photos
Tank has been running for a little over a week, maybe about 2 weeks by now that the rocks have been covered in water.
Anyways, a couple days ago I noticed these guys growing off of my LR in random places. Little colonies just a few mm in diameter. Little white hair like things. At first I didnt bother with them, but I've noticed more and more in the past couple days. Had my ammonia spike over the weekend and today it's back to 0. salinity: 1.026 temp: 79 ph: 8.2 alk: 8.5 ammon: 0 nitrite: 0 nitrate: 0 calc: 420 mag: 1500 |

If it turns out to be algae, as in that being a stem, prepare a bowl of hydrogen peroxide and dip that area of the rock for 30 seconds, rinse in tank discard water, return to tank. Rooted caulerpa weed is a horrid plague in a display tank, and does first appear like that. It's toxic if eaten, spreads like mad from any root, stem, or spore, and can choke out corals.
