Nitra Guard Titanium Bio Cubes

Hello guys, I have recently bought a phosban reactor from BRS and added some Rowa Phos to it. My phosphates seem pretty low (almost "0") judging from my Salifert test kit. My nitrates were running a bit high however (between 10-20 ppm) so I decided to use Nitra Guard Bio Cubes that I purchased on line to reduce them. Well that was about 2 weeks ago and I still do not see a sizeable drop in my nitrates. They are still reading about 10-20 ppm. Is there anybody out there who has been using this product that can tell me how long it takes for it to take effect. I am running the bio cubes in the bag it came with along with an air stone; I believe this is called the "bomb" method. I don't have a sump so I placed the setup at the bottom of a trickle filter I have hanging off the side of my aquarium. I would appreciate any help or advice from someone.

If you are extremely limited on phosphates (stripping with GFO) than your nitrates will not come down with carbon dosing. Also the same question about the skimmer, you can not pull the bacteria from the water without it.

Nope. The titanium cubes remove nitrate without impacting phosphate.

Bio cubes are big where I am. Works awesomely. Don't know why it's not such a big hit in the states.

Yes, I do have a skimmer and it has been over 2 weeks since I have added nitraguard. Also, the titanium version is supposed to work without phosphates. I wonder I f it is because it is running in my trickle filter?
