Another Whatzit? question.

This red gunk on my birds nest. It feels kinda slimey.

Plan is to cut off that branch and trash it if there isn't a good reason not to. Nothing like that anywhere else in the tank.

Do you have to cut the whole branch? Could you possibly use a turkey baster and blow if off and catch with a net to remove?

I tried doing that, it was steadfast in its hold. I cut the branch off. It's a birdsnest, it'll grow back quick enough.
