From what I can tell I don't see any film alge on the glass so I tried to feed him small fish pellets but they just fell through the starfish so I decided to place him on a rock, also is there anything I can buy to feed him I have rotifeast which is rotifier eggs for my featherduster but it dident Seam like he wanted it

In my experience with the stars, picking them up and moving them is not a great thing to do.
I've tried blowing frozen foods behind the star too but they don't seem to want to reach out and grab it with their tube feet. |

Not an easy animal to keep (though easier than the linka stars). Requires careful collection and handling, which you cannot control, and a mature tank, which you can control. OK to move around if you must, just don't take it out of the water. Mine seems to eat algae, and I've never tried to 'force feed' it. Stomach is on the bottom of the center, so I suppose you could just place it in top of a morsel and see if it will eat it. Most likely something else will steal it though.
