Chevron tang

Looking into buying a chevron tang about 5 inches. Just wondering if they are similar in disposition as kole tangs. Was going to put it in ny 265 with a yellow kole and naso tang

Yes, they are similar, but gets much bigger than a Kole. IME, it ate a lot of different algae.

Since it's bigger than all the tangs I currently have wanted to make sure it won't bully them

Probably the mellowest of my Tangs.
Very similar to a Kole but as said, gets larger.

are these tangs very skittish, i got one Sunday night and it still hasn't come out of its hiding spot to eat or swim and its in a tank by itself. i know some fish can take time, had a coral beauty take 2 weeks to come out and eat, but it was in a tank with a kole tang that chased it

Just a heads up once these fish reach adulthood the color pattern is much different. I'm not sure what yours looks like at the moment, but they're definitely much more attractive when they're young.

Yes he is changing but still beautiful. But my favorite fish is my kole tang and it isn't the most beautiful fish. Maybe I just have a liking for ugly things lol

So had it in tank by itself fir 2 weeks. Wouldn't come out of its hiding spot. I finally put all the other fish in. Now it's swimming around like crazy. Guess it wanted company
