Lighting schedule

Looking for abit of advice please.
Does anybody here run an AI prime hd on a fluval evo 13.5 or something of similar size. What kind of schedule do you all use? I've got hammers, Duncan's and a couple of softies.

The lights not set up at the minute I'm just waiting for the bracket. When I come to set it up what % should I run it at? I heard it was best to start low.

Lighting cycle is a personal preference! you want to set it so that you can see your tank when you're home. Most people run their light between 6-10 hours and ram up down with controllers. I run mine 11 hours instant full power on and off.

I don't have any experience with your particular light but depending how high you have it off the tank I would start out at 40% or so and go from there. Just watch your corals and see how they react. Your better off under lighting them then over. Each week go up about 2-5% until there happy. If you have zoa's I have found there pretty good for dialing in a new light. If they begin to reach for light turn it up a little until they are no longer reaching. Just keep.in mind you want to do this very slowly as it's pretty easy to overdue it with LED's.

I have 2 AI prime HD's over my 110. My tank is 30" deep. The lights are 8" off the water. Right now I run a 2hr ramp up. a 5 hr period of high intensity that peaks in the middle. So basically they start out 2% blue and royal blue for 2 hours. They then take two hours to ramp up to 60% uv, 100% blue and royal blue, 60% white, 15% red and green.
From there the take 1 1/2 hr to ramp up to 70% uv, 105% blue and royal blue, 75% white, red and green stay the same. They come back down from that point to the first settings.
Then they start their ramp down to the 2% blues which they stay at for 2 hours before lights out.

You might try the BRS setup that they did on one of there videos with a AI Prime. They matched up with what Radion does.

It depends on your level of nutrients. With higher nutrient levels you can increase intensity. I have two AI Primes on my 20 long and run the violent, blue and UV in the 80% to 100% range. I use two hour ramp up and ramp down with six hours full intensity. My nitrate is 5-10 and my phosphate is about .1.
