pH not raising when skimmer connected to fresh air
I recently connected my protein skimmer using vinyl clear tubing to the skimmer intake of a Reef Octopus 152-s for a Red Sea Reefer 350(91 galllons). I used an 8ft tube to the nearest window.
I expected to see a lift in pH but have not seen it do anything of significant value. Any reason this might be occurring? Nit sure why it won’t go up. I have pH that is around 7.6 and want to get it closer to 8 or better. Thanks

Do t worry so much about ph. Alk is much more important. What are you using to test Ph?

Running the skimmer air line to the outside never made any difference to the pH in my tanks either. Unless your tank has a closed top and/or poor internal circulation, hard to actually see why a fresh air line would do much. Never made any sense to me
