Question about setting up a dual purpose quarantine

I wanted to get a 40g breeder, and silicone a glass divider inside to create two separate compartments, each with it's own separate filter. One would have corals in quarantine for a few weeks, the other fish in quarantine with copper. Does anyone see the possibility of copper leaching through the silicone and affecting the side with corals, thanks.

I thought about the same thing and thought better of it to close for splashes ect better two separate tanks which basically is what you are doing anyway
