Co2 testing

Anyone know of a one time CO2 test? I don't feel like spending 40something bucks to test my tap water for CO2 once...

There's a way to test your source water's pH and alkalinity and back out the CO2 concentration. If you haven't already, try posting this question in the reef chem subform, or look in the reef chem archives, one of Randy Holmes-Farley's articles may answer your question.
