Lighting Recommendations for a 90G - 48” long tank
I’ve recently gotten back into the hobby and purchased a used tank that came with 2 Chinese black box lights. While battling a velvet outbreak & trying to move my fish to a quarantine tank the canopy slid and one of the lights went swimming...
I’ve already decided against the 2 black box setup and was thinking of the following setups and was hoping for some insight: 1) Budget friendly Marsaqua 300W light from Amazon - my one concern here is that it would not reach the outer edges of the tank 2) Reefbreeders 48” Photon 3) Anything else... One thing I would like to point out is that there’s a center brace on the tank that casts a shadow so I would need to make sure there is enough light spread / diffusion to compensate for that. Thank you in advance for you help & suggestions! |

I have had good success with my Reef Breeders Photon V2+. There are probably better lights but not for the price I paid.
