Lettuce Nudibranch

I posted this on the reef forum but I figure I would ask here too. I aquired a lettuce nudibranch a month or two ago and now I have at least fifty of them. There must have been four spawnings because there are 4 sizes from 1/4" to 3/4". Has anyone elso raised these before? I raised a lot of animals in this tank but these are the first nudibranchs.

I'd love to help, but both of mine had an affinity for powerheads. It sounds like your raising them just fine. You might try this site-

I know the problem they have with powerheads but they cant get to my powerheads. They are not touching the tank anywhere on the sides so the slugs would have to swim to get to them and they swim like bricks. My powerhead intakes are also in the dark and they don't seem to go in the dark. Thanks.

Mine are still reproducing. I have about 100 of them so I set up two more tanks for them. I have been trading them to LFS's for corals. The little suckers are like credit cards. I have also contributed to that hyperlink above and I shipped a dozen slugs to a researcher.

Sweet dude! I had two and actually caught them spawning. They spiral around eachother then some kind of protrusion comes out of each head for a while, then in a week or two, babies on the glass. I shot some stills and MPEGS, so I'll try to post them here.

They will continue to do great and reproduce as long as they have some algae sources in your main tank! I had a couple that kept doing that, so I started trading some out, keeping my population low, then they got sucked into the sump and died, now I have none! I believe their favorite is the bryopsis, but I would double check that one.
