feeding caulerpa to fish

my fuge is growing out of controlwith grape caulerpa. I always cut back on the caulerpa and discard it. I have a hippo tang, a yellow tang, and a coral beauty angelfish. Can I put some of the caulerpa in the display tank as food for these fish? I am scared to do so because I don't want them too miss any, and have this stuff growing in the main tank.

That's a concern and I've heard that it could be toxic. Don't know how true that is though.

i wouldn't feed em that stuff. your right if any misses it'll take over your display tank. don't do it!! if you want i can ship you some red grape kelp so you can grow as food for your fishies. you pay shipping though.

I have also heard a lot of people say their fish will not touch grape caulerpa. My foxface will eat it, but it's obviously not his favorite. I know some of it escapes from the clip when I feed it, but I have not seen any evidence of it growing in my main tank.
