fish feeding and carbon question
Hello everyone first of all I would like to say thank you for all of your help. This site has made restarting my tank so easy and fun.
question one. I just added a bicolor angel and a scooter bleny, the local fish store told me to feed them frozen brine everyother day. Is this correct? question number 2. I would like to know how much carbon if any I should run in my tank. Its a 45 gal with 45 pounds of live rock. For filtration I have a fluval 204 without the bioballs and I rinse or replace the foam pads every other week. I also have a bak pak skimmer.

I would use a more varied food type than frozen brine shrimp. They're not the most nutritious of foods.

I agree. Brine once in a while is ok but it lacks nutritional value that misys shrimp has. Research the bi color and you'll find that they need algae based foods like formula one or two, nori doesn't hurt either. They also benefit from sponge. It's a natural food for them in the wild. I would recommend Angel Formula from Ocean Nutrition.
As far as the skimmer, you'll get mixed opinions on this. Some people run carbon a few days a month, some people (like me ) run it 24/7.
