Feeding My Fish??
Hello Again RC Swimmers,
I finally added some fish to my new tank after 1 1/2 month of cycling. I have just purchased 2 Tamato Clowns and 1 Coral Beauty Angel(dwarf). I did some reading on their diets and found out that they are all omnivours. I have been feeding the two Clowns mysis shrimp. I have some snails in my tank so I have some algae sheets on a clip in the tank. Then I purchased the Coral Beauty and bought some frozen food called marine cuisine. It was recommended by my LFS specifically for angelfish. I just was wondering is this a good food for my fish. And how often should I feed them daily and weekly. If you have any suggestions or advice feel free to post them. Tank Setup: 16 gal Bow 17 lbs LR 20 lbs bio-active argonite LS 2 Tamato Clowns (tank raised) 1 Coral Beauty Angel (dwarf) Emerald Crab 1 Hermit Crab Cleaner Shrimp 5 Snails (margarita/turbo mix) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I would recommend twice a day( not saturate) also the nori sheets you should only clip half of it IMO due that you only have a dwarf angel, the clowns will munch on it also.

Twice a day in a 16gal? I feed my fish 1 a day or whenever I feel like it.
My angel doesnt have much to do with the algae he loves his meaty foods thou. I dont know that your snails will go for essentially dried algae either. Once you add a coral from outside your almost certain to get some real algae. A 16gal is a little small for any dwarf angel too. |

I woke up one morning and found one of my margarita snails on the nori and it was nearly gone. I walked in the room the other day and found another snail on the peice of nori again. I think the word is out for them that there is free food

My clown and dwarf angel would never eat nori, so eventually I gave up.
Marine cuisine is fine, but it doesn't have any vegetable matter. Good options are Formula 2 flake or frozen or "Emerald Entree" frozen cubes. |
