How do hydroids form and how to get rid of them? (pics)

I picked up ~15# LR from a fellow reefers tank to add to one of my tanks. All my rock that was previously in the tank is clean but the rock from his tank appears to have hydroids all over it. So how do you get rid of them?

Put in something that will eat them.

Here's some not so great pics. I thought it could also be hair algae but it's kinda clear in color.

Hydroids are basically a jellyfish type organism that can hitch in on LR and even the outside shell of brine shrimp cysts (eggs). If you check on the Seahorse & Pipefish forum, many suggest using Panacur (a dog dewormer) to get rid of them since they are dangerous to dwarf SH and SH fry.

Did you use Panacur with your snails in the tank?
If you did, I'm surprised you have any survivors.
Fendbendazole is death on all worms, invertibrates &
corals that have stalks.
Yes, some of the Panacur could have lingered in the silicone
& is leaching out, just enough to upset your snails.
Perhaps your old snails were able to survive but your new
snails are obviously suffering.

I too am suffering from a hydroid explosion in my tank and I would love to use panacur, but not with these potential problems.

I know about 2 years ago some mentioned about a specific nudibranch that ate them. I believe they were some sort of aeolid nudibranch. I searched RC, but could not find that thread. The guy said he bought the nudi in an LFS in CT.
Anyone know exactly which ones?

Current Tank Info: 125 with 30 sump, two 58's with 20 sumps. 55, two 30's.
