i use kents nitrate sponge. Can't say that it will lower high levels in a tank if that is your goal. I use it to maitain my levels at near zero. Talking to people at the local fish store, they claim the kent and seachem product very simular. They do not remove nitrate rather absord small a mount of amonia before it turns into nitrate.

xeniamania has used it and had sucess with it, pm him if you want to ask. I my self just started using it so its to early to know.

I have been using it for about a year and never measure Nitrates, but I might just be that good.
