Booster pump question
I need a booster pump for my typhoon III. Im only getting 25 PSIG
going into my unit. My question is do I need to get a pressure switch to control the pump? Does the pump shut itself off when the desired pressure is reached or when the unit shuts off? Thanks - Jesse |

I believe most pumps are self adjusting with a turn of a screw.

When you say stops producing water, do you mean when you shut down the water faucet. If so the answer is no, the pump keeps running and running dry

I have the same question. Bone...my ro/di comes on for an hour twice a day spaced 12 hrs apart. Do I need a timer on the booster pump or does it have a shutoff pressure?

Purelyh2o has an auto shutoff switch but it says for under counter use. So Im not sure if it can be used for ro/di.
http://www.purelyh2o.com/cart.php?ta...category_id=20 If I had this hooked up to a booster pump then it would kill the power to the pump when the ro/di shuts off. |

I will e-mail air water and ice just to double check that the pump has not changed design, but mine has no shut off switch. I would have everything plugged into a powerstrip and have the strip into a single timer. This would allow everything to turn on and off at the same time.
