Green buble coral question
Hi all I got a green bubble coral 2 days ago
I placed it in the middle in my 75gal under 250Wmh 10000k and it doesnt open as fully as it did in the store too much light? I also noticed that it was cut in some places probably from the trip and placement in the tank. Maybe it just needs to heal? |

Try moving it under a lower light area with gentle flow. It may very well be too much light, too soon.

It doesn't look entirely unhappy--have you tried feeding it?

Sure--that or silversides would be fine.

Yeah try placing it in an area of less for and less light. My reg bubble didnt like being up high around the HQI. It was happy around the middle away from the ph direction. I fed mine krill.

Got a 180 with 3 250W 14K MH's & 4 160W VHO Super Actinic. Put my Bubble Coral on the bottom near one end out of direct strong light with moderate flow. It is doing real good. Blows up good in the day & extends feeding tentacles at night.

Mine's mid to upper in the tank, but I have PC's. It's also right near the filter waterfall. That thing has gone from a dozen bubbles to a monster in about a year and a half.
