Does anyone know what this white fluffy stringy stuff is growing on my rock?
 Kinda looks like cotton...

It's on the left hand side of the hermit crab, this is the best picture I could get of it... kinda in between the two small edges of rock....

It is really hard to tell from the pic. Are you sure it isn't a sponge of some sort? I don't know of a stringy sponge....I have all colors, shapes and size sponges in my tank from white to blue.
