Not too long ago I noticed these little tiny specs on the aquarium glass and they appear to be moving. Now they have increased and I am not sure what they are. Too small to identify but move around.
Are they some kind of copepod or plankton? I think if I don't do something soon that they will become out of control and maybe do some harm. |

most likely copepods, plankton is microscopic and impossible to see suspended in the water column. copepods are benificial and will consume algae and plankton and will provide a food source for many other reef inhabitants. most small wrasses, dragonetts, and other fish constantly pick at the substrate/rocks/glass to get at these tasty treats.
