light combo suggestion for MH/T5 combo hood
Hey everyone,
I am planning on buying the 36" Aquamedic Ocean Light 2 x 150 Watt MH + 2 x 39 T5 for my 38 gallon aquarium (36x12x19). Right now there is only some zoo's and green stars in my tank but I plan on doing LPS/Softies. A clam would be nice too. What combination of lightbulbs would you suggest for this setup? I want something that has some blue so colors really pop, but not too much. Would you suggest 14k's for the MH and 50/50's for the t5, or something like 14ks, 1 50/50 and a blue....Etc..etc. Keep in mind I would prefer to make a mistake with the the T5's and not the MH's, since the t5 bulbs are much cheaper Thanks, Dale |

Apparently the only included choices are the 10 or 20k with the Aquamedic ocean blue lights for the t5's. I guess in the mean time I will get the 20's, but would still like to know what people suggest, so when it comes time to change out the bulbs I have an idea.
