You want two heaters, in case one fails. A small investment for some insurance.

What I would do different is go with MH or T5 not LED, and Apex system over the apex lite and a bit more rock and sand. all else looks good.

LED's are pretty proven at this point. Typically no ongoing maintenance costs, no bulb purchases and probably half the electricity usage. If you're already setup with MH or T5 it's expensive to switch, but just starting up is a great time to take advantage of new technology.

Not sure what DSA uses for a overflow system but I'd be putting a lot of thought into it

I would do Jebao over MP anything. Cost difference for performance is pretty steep.
Keep 2 heaters, can make things easier on you. I would do a T5/LED hybrid

I third the MP40wES'. They give you much more flexibility in a tank that large. Though, you probably should have bought them a month ago when they were 20% off.

Radions are fine, I'd personally either go with kessils or metal halides depending on your intended stock.
I'll assume you're gonna include stuff like test kits, wide variety of foods, buckets, water storage containers, refractometer, extra powerheads for mixing, ect. As far as your main equipment that stuff all looks great. I'd personally start with dry rock and sand, seeded with the smallest bit of live rock rubble, and live sand from a tank you absolutely trust. Pests may make their way eventually but it's best to start with none. Then I'd just seed with a couple pod pack varieties and bacteria supplements. Eventually you'll have a complex micro fauna population, but i personally would go slow and start dry just to limit headaches. I'm still chasing down aiptasia and bits of pest macro algae that snuck in on my live rock...2 years ago. |

It seems like money is no longer an issue so I would go with two mp40s and full apex as well. If you go with BRS dry rocks like Pukani, you won't need 90lbs. Make sure you do a muriatic acid bath on your rocks! Check out Reef Octopus skimmers, I'd go with the SRO-XP2000int, that's what I have in my 100gallons, heavily stocked. Get two 300watts heaters. Don't forget a refractometer, test kits (salifert or red sea), and ATO (I suggest a Tunze Osmolator 3155). And expect to pay more than $100 for your miscellaneous expenses (tools, ATO reservoirs, rodi containers, etc.)

You will need a return pump- Eheim 1162. I would also vote for the MP 40s over the MP 10s.
