Cycling questions
Started my cycling process a week ago using live sand and water from a well so no chlorine put live rock and base rock in 3 days ago.tested for ammonia nitrites and nitrates today. 0 ammonia 0 nitrites 20 ppm nitrates. @ what point should I consider my tank cycled? What should I let the nitrates build up to before doing a partial water change?

The cycle won't be complete until you see ammonia spike, then fall, and nitrites do the same.
Have you ghost fed the tank? |

You could drop a peeled raw shrimp in tank & wait til ammonia & nitrites have spiked then lowered to 0. When nitrates have spiked, do a 20% water change & add some CUC...Wait another week or 2, test water to make sure nitrates have lowered, then you should be good to add a fish & slowly bump up your CUC. btw, welcome to Reef Central!
