bulkhead
Do they make a bulkhead i can use on a 5 gal bucket? Thinking about setting up a gravity fed top-off and want to use one of those 5 gal buckets from the depot. so i need a bulkhead that has a curve to it to get a flush fit so it doesnt leak.
thanks. |

A bulkhead in general is not meant to seal on a curved surface.. So you don't use one at all.. Just a uniseal.. There are videos on youtube/google,etc.. on how to use them.

I've actually had a unseal leak.
Btw, I have 1" bulkheads on 32 gallon brute trash cans with no leaks. Tighten the nut and it all compresses to sides of the trash can fine. |

I used a regular 3/4" bulkhead on a 5 gallon bucket. Hasn't leaked yet and it's been full of water for 4 months.

If you have any hydroponics stores locally I'd call and see if they stock the uniseals.

Going the smallest possible, would a regular bulkhead hold? Probably 1/2" so being small is it possible it won't leak?
