50 Gallon Uniquarium Filtration Setup for FOWLR soon Reef!!

Hello everyone,

I have a 50 gal uniquarium set up as a fowlr tank at the momment but I am looking to add corals within the next year or so. Not too sure how to set up the back filtration for the best performance.

Currently on the first and second chamber I have these sponge like filters that are placed in there. On the second chamber my Tunze 9002 skimmer is in there.

third and fourth chamber are where the bio balls are at which I am slowly removing and replacing with Live Rock rubble and soon have some chaeto algae in there.

Fifth chamber is the return pump to the tank.

Are the sponge like filters in chamber 1 and 2 good or bad? If bad, what would be best to put in there? Or should I leave empty?

I cleaned the sponge filters while I was water changing and clouded my tank today.
