Checking with tap water
Hello all!! Just getting back into the marine aquarium after a 7 year hiatus. Just bought myself a used 90 gallon with a 40 gallon sump. My question is, while I wait for my ro unit to arrive, does anyone see an issue with running tap water through the system to check that all pumps are operational and there are no leaks with my plumbing???

As long as you drain it its a good idea and much cheaper

No issue if you're just testing and then draining. If you're thinking of starting with tap that's a bad idea.

That's how I always did a leak check.
