Question about cleaning Rd3 pump

I am deep cleaning my rd3 from my double cone 250. Once I've taken out the three screws and try lightly to remove the red cover off the pump, it seems to be on tight from the bottom. I dont want to pull too hard and possibly break anything. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

There is a 4th screw that you access from the back side of the flange. Flip the pump around and look at the volute from the opposite side and you will see it.
