Best Antibiotics

I've been reading and have come across many antibiotics all claiming to be the safest and best for my fish. I would like a little input on what everyone here on RC uses!

Any insight would be great! Thanks

What are you aiming to treat? Do you need it to be reef safe or can it be dosed in a QT tank? Without this info, nobody can really give you the information you seem to be looking for.

I have all my fish in QT and it seems like one is starting fin rot. I would only dose in a QT. Thanks

There is no best. It depends on the bug and what it's sensitive to.

Furan 2 worked for me. Also improved diet and good water parameters. What I have read is that it depends on the bacteria you are fighting which there is no way to know unless you look under a microscope. So all you can really do is pick one and give it a try.

Furan2 was effective because it treats gram negative bacterias. Most fish infections are gram negative. Furan 1 treats gram positive.
