Live rock migration

I've had this tank up for about two months. I have some awesome filter feeders on my two original live rocks, but those rocks are getting crowded. They are the islands in the front left and right. Do they need to be on the other rock for things to migrate or is close good enough?

Most micro-fauna propagate through the water column. Close enough is just fine.
