Pro bio F
Do you need a skimmer with pro bio F? I am thinking of removing the skimmer because my tank is in my office and the skimmer is being really loud.

I would not use any carbon source dosing unless their is an export plan in place. There are always possibilities with technique, but too risky as the heart of export is the skimmer. The products help the skimmer to perform and remove docs. Hope that clears the air. Pro Bio F is simply a AIO carbon source system, inorganic based. This can be used alone, or along side of Pro Bio S. However, liquid carbon source, or NP Pro, pairs with Pro Bio S using the Probiotic Method. I am currently not using NP Pro or Pro Bio S daily anymore, I am trying to keep a spot of nutrients, so I use Pro Bio F a couple times per week to charge up the export process. Cheers

Great. Thanks for confirming it. I’ll keep the skimmer. How long did it take you to drop nitrate and phosphate? This is my 3rd week using and I don’t see much of a drop yet.
