radion xr30 pro question

I purchased a used xr 30 pro and i'm currently cycling my tank. I'm not really running the light much just maybe once a day for about 30 mins. I'm just plugging and unplugging it when i use it. Is this ok?

If there's no livestock in there, you don't need the light
