My tank has been up and running for 6 weeks now.
33 gal
25 gal sump
turbofloater 1000
40 lbs live rock
30 lbs live sand
assorted hermits
assorted snails
nitrates 0
cal.380-400 ppm
alk 2.80-3.00 meq/L
phosphates 0
My problem is my Ph. when I test it,when the lights have been off all night, it tests about 8.0. When I test it after the lights have been on for 10 hrs,it tests 8.4-8.6. Is this normal for a new tank? What is the best way to even the ph out? Thanks
Bob

That is normal, in fact for a new tank those levels are good. Nothing to worry about.
