Qustion about homemade Mag sup?

Why doesn't all the Epsom Salt dissolve in 1 gallon of water?

Does it take a certain amount of time?

I added as directed, but there is still crystals on the bottom of the container. I used a standard 1 gallon water container.

Have you tried heating the water while you add the Epsom salts? Solubility generally increases with temperature.

If there is a small residue, I'd just ignore it. It may be impurities. If it is some of the original solids, then more stirring or warming will allow it to dissolve.
