i just hope you guys' wives aren't on RC....lol
I have a wp40 leaving san francisco as of yesterday. Can't wait to see it perform. If it does, i'll order another 40 and a couple of 25s (different tank). i'm also looking at the reefangel. looks sweet!

Who would have thought ReefAngel would benefit from the rise of WP40. I have to give RA all the credit in their flexibility and ability to respond to the market so quickly. I plan in the near future replacing my RKE with RA.

Go to the RA forums and ask, or just google that before you ask someone:

Hey guys, I have a question. I have a 5x2x2 150g and just ordered a WP 40. It will be joining an MP40 and a Dart-OM-4way closed loop, so I guess I now have a little bit of everything.

My question is - is it possible to amp the speed up on the WP40 WITHOUT getting the (frankly) undesirable surface tsunami that would splash all over my center brace?

Agreed. Right now I have no plans to buy a controller, but If I do I'm leaning toward Reef Angel. ultimately it was Roberto from Reef Angel who helped someone convert the cable to work on and Apex controller.

He didn't need to do that, but shows you his commitment to the hobby.

I reminded mine of the one time I flooded the carpet and had to replace. Told her with a controller that wouldn't be an issue anymore.

W1 mode is the only mode that makes the huge surface waves. All of the others are more gentle. I can run it full open on my 82 bow (4') on any mode except W1 and it's fine, even high up.

I can say light sensor is working fine and make a nice size wave in 47 1/2 "L x 18 1/2" W x 25 1/2 " T tank.

So as far as the light sensor.....does it get inserted all the way? Mine have two prongs about an inch long each....Or do you shorten them and still them in?

I didn't shorten the legs. I just pushed it all the way in. Works like a charm.

Wow is all I can say. I have mine on the right side of the tank on W1 mode and it works great. No reason to reduce the output, and this thing is quieter than my koralias....much quieter!

Else mode it is.....The wave action is cool but I am nervous all that back and forth will put stress stress the stand down the road. Still awesome flow, incredible pump, well built.
