Take a look at the Bayer Complete Insect Killer dip that a reefer on this forum tested on his acros. I personally made the dip from his specs and have eradicated AEFW and red bugs.

I promise you it works with less stress on the corals than "other coral dips", I was in shock when I was told an insecticide for my corals would work.

Sorry if im reviving what seems to be an old thread, just seen it with a recent post.

Anyone ever seen these before?

They almost look like some kind of isopod. Anyway they came off a German blue polyp sweet acro that was turning white.

Very interesting I have never seen that. Can you siphon it out and take a better picture of it? If you can remove it do so but I don't know if it's good or bad.

Ok I need some serious help here. I'm losing SPS's right and left and others are not showing polyp extension like before. I have had smoothe skinned corals bleach. Milli's, Digi's and Red Planets have lost polyp extension. (I'm an ole' woman who's eyesight isn't the best, even using magnification.) I have not seen AEFW or nudi's or eggs( but cannot look under the corals as too large). I have seen what I believe to be Red Bugs...smaller than copepods/same size (they move pretty darn fast too) but just glimpses of red color. Been in the hobby for years and haven't had problems with any SPS's or bugs...until now. I've read this thread 3 times, have seen Melev's, etc. Param's are fine.

I have 4 tanks with these problems (two tanks share a common sump). I understand that Intecepter is no longer sold. So what do I use for Red Bugs? Do I suspect AEFW and Nudi's also? I need to do the in-tank treatments. Can you supply a link so I know exactly How to proceed with intank treatment? Sorry, I am just so frustrated!! The more I read, the more I have become confused on what and how to treat....

Algae Pest, please help ID this.

I'm trying to identify this sort of algae pest. It's maroon in color and spreads quickly. Is there anything that will eat this? Thanks

Good luck with the treatment. It is a very simple process and works well. Make sure to treat 3 times in 3 weeks. Have water change ready after the 10-12 hours and run carbon.

1 23g tab is enough for your tank and needs to be crushed and dissolved in RO first. Half a tab would also be enough.
Remove as many crabs or shrimps as you can before treating. Let it do its magic for 10-12 hours as it is slow acting.

Have 3 tanks to treat. TWV is 130g, 90g and 65g. Can you tell me how much/many tabs for each tank(per 1 treatment)? Is it a 25% WC after each treatment?

I have 6 pills on order...guess I need 3-6 more pills. I'm losing corals awefully fast in past 2 weeks
