it also depends on your aquascape, types of corals etc. I ran a 350 over a biocube and had shadow issues, then I ran two 360's and a 150 over a 65g and had shadowing issues so I added t5's, then I ran 4 360's and two 160's over a 120g and had shadowing issues. just one single monti cap can render a massive amount of your tank useless when running kessils. personally the only way I would run kessils anymore would be in conjunction with some reefbrite strips or t5's.

Well thanks for the help all
I went ahead and bought another A360WE today and put on the tank Now I’m happy with how bright the tank is now and have plenty of power for the SPS The shimmer did drop a bit to a point where I am happy The two lights are now 8 inches apart So will drop the intensity and do a acclimatisation mode and see how it goes The lights are only mounted temporary will make a nice bracket to mount them to and hide the cabling Thanks for everyone’s help Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Since you've added a second light, I'd cut the intensity in half for the time being. I think you would have been fine with a single light because you don't have much room for corals to grow out large enough to be a big factor in such a small tank.

Actually the tank was not bright enough for my liking with a single unit on 100%
The tank has got plenty of room for corals to grow out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Ok guys quick question in regards to intensity
I purchased a Seneye Reef today to check par With the both lights at 8 inches above the water and corals about 6-8 inches below water at 40% intensity I was getting somewhere around 100-110 par So ramped up the lights to 70% as test and was getting between 225-260 Does this sound about right ? Interested to know what par readings you guys are getting Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Be careful with acclimatization.
I burned a forest fire digitata when it was moved from another tank into mine which is running 2 a360's. Should have started it out at the bottom. I put it right at the top..big mistake. |

Just curious, what kind of lifespan should one expect for Kessil 360's?
Is it wise to buy used? |

Ok, i have a kessil that will turn on. The whites will ramp up and down. The blues will not. They come on at about 10% and thats it. Also the fan is bad. Any suggestions?

Joecc, I bought 2 360s yesterday. I saved up and had to tell a little lie to my wife. Lol told her they were only $100. Well, 1 don't work correctly. And not sure about the other now. Man, I'm really bummed about the whole experience. I hope kessilc an repair cheaply.

I'm reading these stories everywhere now. Units failing straight from the box or on the one year mark. Whats up at Kessil?

I talked to them. I'm just over the 2 year mark. Not eligible for replacement. Unless I have a receipt. I didn't keep a receipt for over 2 years. So they offered me a service inspection for $100 Plus shipping. And additional charges may apply. Or a new fixture for 290 plus shipping. If rather by sb reeflights
