It is directly in the center of photo not sure how well it will show. thin as a hair, alternating stalk is brown and white. the "club" on the end is like a thin dandelion seed head spikes with small white blunt ends. hope the photo is clear cant really tell with photo bucket. If not I will set up macro tomorrow evening.

this is not a pencil urchin but looks like it is most likely a reef urchin Echinometra viridis the white rings around the base of the spines is a good way to tell the difference

Not sure how I've missed these in the past, but there are quite a few of them. Are they limpets? Are they good or bad?

Yes, the more primitive of the so-called limpets, it's a keyhole limpet. Most of them are harmless.

Please help me ID these things

Hey all, while doing some equipment mods in my sump I came across a ton of these things growing on the baffles. There are probably fifty growing, and some, like as you can see from this pic look a little different. Are they some kind of larvae? or something nasty that needs to go?

Thanks!

this has been growing on my snails shell for the last month or so.....never seen one like it. It seems to have sweeper tentacles or the like that come out of the center top...they look unclear in the picture and video, but they are there.

What it is (question mark) (my kids broke my question mark button, and my "sideways N" button too)

Looks like a macro algae of some sort. Caulerpa, I think. I'd be happy to have a rock covered with those.

You rock! thanks. It is definitely a neat macro...I'd love to see it spread, but something tells me that only the snail will be spreading it. Appreciated.

Hi everyone!

Well, today I rearranged my filter and was pretty astonished to find what appears to be a slug like creature living amongst my bio balls in my filter..

The thing was moving around when I took out a media sack and it appeared to be stuck to it - but I'm wondering what it actually is??

Thanks heaps in advance,
Matt
