That's what a "search" function is for. But people seem to ignore it again...

Ok kids, let's try to behave here. I'm having a real hard time leaving this thread open as it is.

OK guys, lets play nice for a while and let Debi get some rest.
This is supposed to be a thread about the WP40 and not about how other people use RC. After all, it's well over 100 pages! You can't really expect every person with a question to read the whole thing... or even scan it for that matter. And a lot of people are high tech challenged by things like the search function (I make my wife, the research librarian, do it for me ). If you don't like that somebody asks a question that has already been answered (even a few dozen times), just ignore it and go on. Just because you have no life and have read every post (and maybe even written a lot of them) is no reason to be testy with the new guy joining in the conversation. On the other hand Debi, if you are having issues with this thread, how is it that any of the led vs MH threads stay open at all? I know it gets really heated and some people (like me) can be pretty opinionated and bull headed. And sometimes things do get a bit out of hand. But in the long run it always seems to work out and I... we, appreciate your patience.

Looking forward to my pumps coming in. I hope they are not to strong for a 48x24x12 frag tank.

Hope the frags are pretty secure.
I have one in a standard 55 gallon 48x12x21 and it's dialed all the way down. |

You could try it, but the W1 setting seems to be the strongest.
You could try the Else mode. |

Mine is on low until I get my RA finished up. That's the only mode I can run it on without ticking things off. I do have quite a few LPS and softies though, so if it's mainly SPS you might be okay.

Well after multiple deletes, bannings, and locks maybe. In some cases deleting the whole thread is also an option. Most of us are adults, we should be able to have conversations with our opinions. I'm truly amazed at how people behave because someone doesn''t agree with them.

Well I revived my wp40 today and I am beyond impressed. I set it on the fast pulse on w1 and it was rocking my tank water to the point of almost going over tank edge. I have it on a 210 gal tank. I will agree that it is exceptionally quite. As long as it last I will stick with it.

Thanks for your help debi, and for keeping it open. It's a great discussion for those who stay on topic. Now let's hear about that wp25!

It's pretty impressive but I think you would want 2 if your going to keep SPS. I have a few other power heads being controlled by my RKE. I turned those off and just had the one WP40 on and it was moving coral on the opposite end so its got power just not sure it's enough for SPS. I might order another one if someone figures out how to control it with the RKE.

For you guys with 6 foot tanks with sps, consider 2 wp40s. Put one on the else mode and the other on w-1 mode. On my 180 this is how I have them both at 19volts. I get great flow this wag and a good 1.5 inch wave. I also have 1000 gph back from my sump too.
I am mostly sps with some softies aand lps.

Have tried getting them to pulse opposite of each other like the MP40's. I imagine it would invoke having to get it plugged it at the right time. Wish they would link together with a cord at least.

I've had my pump for about 6-8 weeks, and it's awesome. We did a group buy on my local forum. I will be selling my Tunze 6105 and buying another wp40 and a wp25 for my frag tank. This is now my fav pump. (I have an mp40 and a Tunze) More flow then my Tunze, quieter then my Tunze, and obviously this pump kicks butt compared to my mp40... They're not even comparable to be honest. I only keep the mp40 around, so I have random flow. When the wet side goes out, I will prolly sell it.
