That's what I've been hearing alot about LEDs and people are swapping back to MH. Do you notice any difference in the corals with MH from LEDs or no?

My acro's grow faster and you can see their true colors. The LED made them look washed out. An example, I thought I didn't have any purple coraline growing on the rocks, but the second I fired up the MH, all the purple patches of coraline were visible.

That is a difference for sure and decently fast growth of acros you brought more to my eyes I had it in my mind I was going to try out LEDs because everyone was making a "big hype" on them. I'm use to using t-5s but want to switch it up. Thanks for the info.

Anyways everything else on the build going good? And anymore updates?

Here's an updated FTS, things are growing slowly. I added more fish to get some more nutrients in there, trying to get my nitrate and phosphate up. They are always testing zero. Took my GFO and carbon off too.

Not yet, hoepfully soon I can get one. The pic is phoenix 14k only, I switched from radium to phoenix a couple months ago, the colors on both bulbs are identical to my eye.

Going way back but thanks for posting the photos of the Ikea stand build. I am going to start hunting the used/return of the local Ikea to go the same route. Or at least get some premade cabinet doors. Yours turned out really nice.

Great looking tank. You know the problem of not enough nitrates and phosphates is a problem that most of us reefers would like to have have you ever thought about dosing nitrates? I don't know the brand name of a product for nitrate dosing but I know there are some out there. Your growth may be going slowely but your colors on your corals look great!

I actually have considered dosing nitrates. But I just discovered I have AEFW, that's what I get for trusting the last person I got a couple frags from and did not dip. As I don't have a quarantine setup, I plan on taking all 18 acros off the rock work, kill off any encrusting on the rocks and dip every single piece in bayer once a week for the next 4 weeks. Lesson learned, dip every coral no matter what!!!!
