AI isn't even a sponsor, you really think they would be able to pull it down? I think its more likely that RC saw it as marketing and since they aren't a sponsor yanked it.

Not sure if anyone is interested, but after speaking with AI today I was informed that the enrollment period has been re-opened for a short time. Just placed my order.

Just received mine, plugged it into the router, went to myaquaillumination.com and signed in, added director, and clicking on the blue AI in the top left corner director version is 1.0.228-r2. not able to change the channel to 1 so it can discover my lights right now, is there a discovery mode on the hydra's?

I was selected for Beta as well but waited to see how things took off. Seems to still be some issues but I'm a glutton for punishment so I ordered today!

If I'm reading this right, even though I did not receive a official email from AI, as a selectee for the beta test, I can order the beta Director?
Thanks, Randy |

I attempted to get my director setup tonight but it will not see my wifi network. My SSID is not hidden and I have 2.4GHz and 5GHz and it does not see either one. I have a Cisco Linksys E4500
Anyone else have issues connecting to wifi and what did you do to fix? |

I believe one poster said he pressed the top button and it started scanning but I thought that was for wps. I just plugged the usb into my router and connected an Ethernet cable. If you have Hydras it's pretty useless right now.

found this looking through the source code, my guess is that hydras don't work yet,
var MODEL_TYPES = [ "solW", "solB", "nano", "Sol White", "Sol Blue", "Nano", 'Sol W', 'Sol B', 'Nano' ]; and this // Load initial val - This is f'n stupid, and should be combined to a method or triggered. ai_director.get_group_accl(GetActiveGroup('acclimation.groupSelect'), function(result, rsp){ lol

I tried rebooting a few dozen times changed my security on my ap and still will not see it. I removed security from my ap and it then seen it. It seems there is a problem with it seeing my ap with security enabled.

Well, I'm at day 4 of trying to test Director and am hopeful that the next firmware push fixes even a handful of the issues with the device and web interface to make this at least moderately useful.
I've done hardware and software development for 35 years and this should never have been provided to the consumer in its present form for any sort of testing. The myriad of bugs, design flaws, and UI/UX issues should have been addressed in-house before releasing this for beta testing. I purchased a pair of Vegas three weeks ago, suffered through setting them up with the 'new' controller while looking forward to using the Director, however as of this morning, the Vegas now continually strobe making the controller useless at this point. Contrary to what any fan-boys say, this is not a well engineered or managed product. |
