So does the variable power supply that they sell with the pumps now let you use the wave modes but just limit the maximum output or does it just turn it to a mainstream powerhead with reduced output?

It allows you to run the modes from the controller with a limited maximum output.

Yeah. Flow. You have a modified Reef Crest going? I'm not sure what mode I'm going to use yet. I found code on the RA web site that will have one mode for 2 hrs and then switch to another pre-determined mode. |

Pumps are running in a range of 15-45%.

I guess I can't link the power supply, but just to make sure we are clear, it is the one on the fish-str website?

There are several voltage adjustable power supplies.
Yes Fish-Street does offer one. There is also an "LED dimmer" on EBay that I have been using for more than a month now and works fine, with no apparent side effects. |

I just ordered three of them with the controllable power supplies and the rubber replacement impeller parts for my 265. If 3 provide too much flow then I will consider the wp25 , once there is more first hand experience on them, and keep a wp40, as a back up. I thought about it for awhile, and after reading through this thread am thinking that I will be happy with these.

Got mine today, put it in the tank, plugged it all up and "NOT WORKING". Contoller working but pump not spinning. 10 mins later it randomly turns on. Will do a review after a week or so.

Besides the minor hickup of initially not starting, this pump is amazing and just the right flow for my 75gal tank. love it.

I received them yesterday (Tuesday) after placing the order on Sunday night. I am amazed at the fast shipping, they came from Hong Kong. I haven't had much time to play with them yet (considering construction isn't done yet on the fish room), but so far am impressed with the power heads. Build quality seems good, and the only one I have tried so far worked perfectly from the initial plug in.

Does anyone know if these have thermal and/or run dry protection? and do they sound an alarm if the impeller gets stuck?
