to be honest I couldn't say what the average would be unless I knew the code they used. but a guess would be about 7000lph.

2 wp40's on each end should work also, I just went with the 25's on the back to help with the random movements all through out the tank. like I said I am just guessing lol.

I am sure someone with a bigger tank that has used these will chime in with their thoughts.

If High means 3200GPH and Low is 1/3 or 1000GPH, I would assume ELSE output will fluctuate between 1000 - 3200GPH.

Tank's being built this week... seeing if I should wait for a bigger Jebo or just get WP40s...

Will just use 2 Sicce 4000s while the tank is cycling and go from there when I'm getting closer to moving new and existing livestock in.

Would be nice to hear somebody with 8ft+ tanks experience with the WP40s. I'm sure there is a post in here, just a lot of pages to go through.

there is a video of 1 wp40 on a 8' frag tank but only shows the top water movement

Well I guess 4 should do pretty well

Will just need to see where my dead spots are and get some additional pumps.

I would agree that 4 pumps all on else mode would make quite a bit of movement in the tank

That's what I have and dual WP40 were too much. Even dialed back. The problem with them was I couldn't dial them back far enough to not disturb some of my LPS, mainly big frogspawn and brains. You could try, lots of variables to account for. Worst case, you have a spare.

I am not planning on running them at the same time. 6 hours each alternating between the 2 to simulate tidal flow

that's a good idea! I could do that with my apex by just using on/off or even oscillating...

cool thanks!

Cool idea, I like that a lot. Simulate the tides and create flow for both ends to better get some flow to everybody. Thanks for sharing!

If people were to run 2 pumps but only 1 at a time but useing a timmer and not a controller would the pumps come back on with the same setting?

I am also planning on using my reef angel to have the flow slowly increase over the 6 hours and having a slack tide at the end of the 6 hours

I think there is already a mode set up in the Reef Angel for this.
It is either Reef Crest, Tidal Swell Mode, or Tide Mode.

I actually took notice of that this weekend, after power loss, the jebao controller retained the last setting it was on.

Tidal Swell Mode.

There have been some reports (2 I think) of the controller not retaining the previous mode it was in after a power loss and returning to W1.

The default mode is actually the H or High mode that it will return to. It happened to me when I set my variable PS too low like less than 16V.

The flexibility of having two WP40s or WP25s in creating random flow, tidal flow, and alternating flow is just endless

Yeah I said it has only happened to a couple of people and they may have been using them at a reduced voltage like SimonSKL.

I run mine at full power. Using a RK controller to cut power at night. It may go a week at a time and retain the setting I run on. Then the next couple of days it will reset. Seems to be hit or miss.
